Worth A Read! Anne Arundel County Cultural Resources’ Guidelines to Interpretive Signage, “Marking History”

Our colleague Jane Cox (Administrator, Cultural Resources Section, Historic Preservation Program for Anne Arundel County Dept. of Planning and Zoning), shared these Guidelines with us, saying, “With our Interpretive Signs program, we have developed standards for design for historic interpretive signs on County properties (attached here) and we welcome anyone to use these guidelines…. We do have available about 15 NPS-style sign frames if any of the Heritage Area partners have content that they want to share. They can reach out to us, and if it’s a match for our program, we can print their signs, and will give them the sign frames for installation, as long as they provide content that meets our design and content standards.”

We’ve just reviewed this booklet and we think it’s a great resource, feel free to download and enjoy! Ms. Cox can be reached at [email protected]. Thanks!
