Fall 2020 Special Appeal
None of us was ready for the challenges that COVID-19 brought to the sustainability of heritage nonprofits, both here and across the world.
For the first time, under the direction of the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA), our state funding partner, we are offering Emergency Operating Assistance to our partner organizations as part of our annual Mini-Grants program. The amount of funding available ($25,000) is based on a budget planned before the pandemic, and our funds won’t go far. That’s why we are asking you to consider a timely donation to our FY2021 Mini-Grant Fund.
If you have a heritage nonprofit you would like to support directly, please do it now. Or, you can take advantage of the experienced application-vetting process that Four Rivers already has in place, to ensure that your funds have the greatest targeted impact in our local community.
We thank you for your past support and ask that you consider extending your support with a donation of $25, $50, or $100 today. Your generosity will help sustain our unique heritage community, so that our stories, buildings and places, our cultural landscapes, our traditions, and our quality of life will last and sustain us through many years to come.
