Four Rivers Convenes Directors of Partner Sites in Annual Meeting

On Thursday, February 22, Four Rivers convened its annual “Site Directors and Managers Summit” at the Galesville Community Center in Galesville.

These summit meetings, held annually since 2004, are important opportunities for representatives from our regional heritage-related sites and organizations to exchange information about new programs and products, learn about potential funding sources and collaborative partnerships, and to propose and discuss ideas for future heritage initiatives.

In addition to the traditional round-table information exchange, the agenda included Maryland Heritage Areas Authority FY2019 funding, committee opportunities, planning for “Maryland Day Celebration 2018,” and more. Twenty-four partners gathered for the meeting, which helps with cross-promotion and collaborative efforts. Many thanks to Gertrude Makell for hosting the meeting, and Valentino Owens for photography.
