Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts 801 Chase Street , Annapolis

Maryland Hall will be hosting its annual open house on Sunday, March 26. ArtFest will feature Maryland Hall’s education programs through demonstrations, performances and activities that include children’s crafts and a community art project. Popcorn and ice cream will be provided by our sponsors. Pottery sale, face painting and so much more. An all ages event with all things “Made in Maryland.” Special guest Cartoonist, Steven Fischer will demonstrate, sell his books, and promote his workshop.

Emergent III Opening Reception

Captain Avery Museum 1418 E West Shady Side Road, Shady Side

Collaborating with Southern High School for the third year in a row, the Captain Avery Museum presents the opening of Emergent III on Sunday, March 26. This exhibition, curated by renowned portrait artist Michael Bell, showcases the regionally and nationally acclaimed artwork of student artists at Southern High. Celebrate the talent of local youth—artists and musicians—by joining us at the opening reception, 1-4 pm.

Gone But Not Forgotten Tour for Maryland Day Presented by Watermark

The preserved heritage of Annapolis is applauded and celebrated. Nevertheless, in four centuries many changes have been wrought…some good, some bad, and many over which disagreements still prevail. Explore the sites of some of these changes in the historic district and on the grounds of the Naval Academy. The “Gone but not Forgotten” Walking Tour explores interesting pieces of Annapolis history like: Where is the thrice-moved Pinkney-Callahan House? What happened to the home of Francis Scott Key’s sister? What would one have seen just 50 years ago from the steps...
