The first of a series of highly interactive workshops. Having Difficult Conversations about Race: Part 1 focuses on developing conversation skills including, active listening; compassionate confrontation; and clarifying common, but complex terms such as racism, prejudice, and discrimination. The workshop includes: games, visual arts, theatre, and conversations enabling participants to develop the communication skills to have difficult conversations in everyday settings. Registration is required with a maximum of 30 available seats. Conversations about Race Part II takes place on Saturday, February 10th, 1:00pm-4pm.
