Beyond the Ramp: Making Your Heritage Site Accessible

Please join Stories of the Chesapeake Heritage Area for a free Zoom workshop Beyond the Ramp: Making Your Heritage Site Accessible. This free workshop features Robert Forloney, Program Developer & Cultural Institution Consultant who will lead a discussion on the various aspects of accessibility. The workshop will focus on raising the visibility of audiences with special needs, the ethical and legal requirements to serve the public, and how these efforts could improve the visitor experience for all. Rather than emphasizing the physical plant, which we will touch upon Mr. Forloney will explain how sites can incorporate programming in innovative ways that are experiential but not all the costly and use cases studies of past projects.
