A Woman of Two Worlds: Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte

Former Historic Annapolis curator Alexandra Deutsch, now Director of Collections and Interpretation for the Maryland Historical Society and author of A Woman of Two Worlds: Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte, will speak about one of Maryland’s most intriguing women and the imperial legacy she forged for her son, grandsons, and future generations of Bonaparte descendants. In this richly-illustrated lecture, Deutsch will highlight little-known stories and never-before-seen objects discovered while researching the book, which will be available for purchase and signing by the author. The book is complemented by the exhibition Woman of Two Worlds: Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte and Her Quest for an Imperial Legacy, currently on view at the Maryland Historical Society.
