The FY17 Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA) Grant Application Process has begun! The application materials for the FY 2017 grant round are now available on the Maryland Historical Trust’s website: http://mht.maryland.gov/grants.shtml As in previous years, applicants will begin with the Intent to Apply form, which is due January 29. Once they have submitted that form, they will be provided access to the non-capital or capital project full application form, which will then be due on February 26. Four Rivers is pleased to announce that a fourth grant from this year’s Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA) grant cycle has been approved in our heritage area! Maryland Heritage Areas Authority Announces Grant Awards of $276,737 to Local Heritage Organizations

The Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA) today announced 52 matching grants totaling more than $2.6 million to Maryland non-profits, local jurisdictions, and other heritage tourism organizations including museums, historic preservation, natural resources, cultural and educational organizations for projects involving historic preservation, natural resource protection, and educational programs in 13 designated Heritage Areas. Four Rivers cautions County Residents about “Dropbox” E-mail Hoax

Four Rivers hopes to caution County residents about an e-mail hoax that has hacked their e-mail system earlier this week. A “Hoax” message was sent out using Four Rivers’s information by the hackers that asks the recipient to click on a “Dropbox” link, which activates the hack on the recipient’s e-mail system.
