Arts Organization Application Guidelines
The arts are an important economic driver within Anne Arundel County, one that has been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Because artists are not categorized as essential employees, both individual artists and businesses that employ artists have been severely affected. To support and stabilize the County’s arts community, including individuals, businesses, and art-related organizations, Anne Arundel County will provide economic relief due to the loss of income due to COVID-19 through the COVID Relief Grants for the Arts Program (GAP).
The GAP will be administrated through the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County (ACAAC). The GAP Arts Organization program offers grants to nonprofit and for-profit organizations that are based in or have a significant physical presence in Anne Arundel County, and directly employ artists and/or artisans. The maximum allowable request is determined by the organization’s annual operating budget, or the operating budget of the unit doing business in Anne Arundel County. Grants will be awarded in accordance with the funding priorities stated in this document; size of awards will be based on demonstrated need, as well as the volume of applications received.
