Even though traditional 4th of July fireworks and large-scale celebrations are cancelled this year, there are other ways to celebrate Independence Day in the Four Rivers Heritage Area.
The town of Galesville is still holding its annual 4th of July parade. Organized by the Galesville Heritage Society, the parade will take place this Saturday at 1:00 pm along Galesville's Main Street, beginning and ending at the intersection of Main Street and Anchor’s Way/West Benning Road. There's no better way to celebrate Independence Day than with a community rich in history.
