Mini Grant Program

Each year since 2004, Four Rivers has sponsored a mini-grant program made possible with financial support from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority, Anne Arundel County, and the City of Annapolis.

Matching mini-grants of up to $2,500 are available to nonprofit heritage-related sites and organizations, as well as municipalities within the heritage area’s borders, to develop new educational activities, public programs, and heritage projects that incorporate regional historic, cultural and natural resources. Projects should reflect heritage area interpretive themes as stated in our approved Management Plan and should also foster regional partnerships and enhance heritage tourism.

The 2008 mini-grants program is now closed. This year, educational activities related to the 300th anniversary of the Annapolis city charter were encouraged, as well as proposals that incorporated environmentally-friendly heritage-related activities. You may view the 2008 program guidelines below.

If you are interested in applying for a Four Rivers mini-grant for the upcoming season, please contact the heritage area staff at 410-222-1805. A complete list of the mini-grants awarded by Four Rivers over the past four years follows.
